METAL LAYER NOISE DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n
Achieving 100 percent shielding is easy. To prevent \u201ctrapped\u201d radio frequency (RF) interference from affecting the device\u2019s ground reference, the AQ Noise Dissipation System (NDS) is required. Conventional shielding absorbs noise\/RF energy and then dissipates it to component ground; this modifies and distorts the critical ground reference area, which in turn distorts the signal. The NDS \u201cshields the shield\u201d by absorbing and reflecting most of the noise\/RF energy before it reaches the ground-connected layer.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

SOLID CONDUCTORS MADE OF LONG CRYSTALLINE COPPER (LGC)<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n
Solid conductors prevent distortion caused by the mutual influence of the strands. The solid long crystalline copper (LGC) enables a more balanced, clearer sound than cables with the usual oxygen-free, highly conductive copper (OFHC – Oxygen-Free-High-Conductivity). OFHC is a general metals industry specification that considers \u201closses\u201d without any consideration of distortion. LGC contains fewer oxides in the conductive material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries and offers significantly better performance.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

POLYETHYLENE FOAM INSULATION<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n
Any solid material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of an incomplete electrical network. Wire insulation and circuit board material absorb energy (losses). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. That’s why air-filled polyethylene foam insulation is used for both conductors because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile.
