SOLID PERFECT SURFACE COPPER CONDUCTORS (PSC)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
From the beginning, AudioQuest has been a pioneer in the use of high-quality metals, but even we were surprised by the huge leap in performance achieved by the amazingly smooth and pure surface of Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC). PSC outperforms metals previously used at AQ, which cost more than ten times as much. Proprietary metal processing technology protects the surface of the wire at every step of drawing and manufacturing. When high-purity, low-oxygen copper is obtained as soft, pure, and smooth as possible, it becomes a wonderfully low-distortion conductor. The mutual electrical and magnetic influence of the strands in conventional cable structures is the greatest source of interference and often causes an \u201cunclean\u201d, \u201crough\u201d sound.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

METAL LAYER NOISE DISSIPATION SYSTEM (NDS)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
Achieving 100 percent shielding is easy. To prevent \u201ctrapped\u201d radio frequency (RF) interference from affecting the device\u2019s ground reference, the AQ Noise Dissipation System (NDS) is required. Conventional shielding absorbs noise\/RF energy and then dissipates it to component ground; this modifies and distorts the critical ground reference area, which in turn distorts the signal. The NDS \u201cshields the shield\u201d by absorbing and reflecting most of the noise\/RF energy before it reaches the ground-connected layer.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

TRIPLE-BALANCED GEOMETRY (SEPARATE GROUND CONDUCTOR)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
Our Triple Balanced geometry uses separate ground conductors so that the cable’s shielding does not act as an inferior conductor. Regardless of whether it is assembled with RCA or XLR connectors, the three conductors of the cable ensure that equally high-quality, low-distortion signal paths are available to the positive and negative signals.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
