REGA Nd3 MM cartridge<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The all-new Rega Nd3 MM cartridge has been developed over many years and promises a significantly improved sound quality over the previous model, the Elys-2. Rega sees the patent-pending Nd series as a world first, using extremely powerful neodymium magnets, allowing Rega to develop a completely unique TA design.<\/span><\/p>\n

Advanced technology<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Each Nd3 TA system is carefully handcrafted by highly qualified Rega technicians. The design uses a completely new generator geometry with perfect symmetry to achieve high-precision channel balance. The Nd3 also features optimized pole spacing for excellent linearity and crosstalk. The new Nd3 pickup is manufactured with miniaturized parallel coils wound in-house from 38 micron wire with only 1275 turns. This results in a generator with low inductance and low impedance, which enables significantly improved high frequency reproduction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nd magnet technology<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Nd3 is the first MM system to use a neodymium (Nd) N55 magnet, which is commonly used in moving coil designs (including Rega’s own). It is the world’s most powerful commercially available magnet and a critical component that makes this unique design possible, as it is more powerful than conventional bar magnets.<\/span><\/p>\n

PPS housing<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The complete assembly is housed in Rega’s tolerance-free, injection-molded housing made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), a lightweight and high-strength material. A low-mass TA body reduces stress on the tonearm bearings and supports the free movement that is crucial for precise vinyl playback. The new look was inspired by Rega’s highly successful MC series.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cantilever and stylus profile<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Nd3 aluminum needle carrier is equipped with an elliptical precision needle. This stylus cut offers exceptional tracking accuracy and delivers a high level of information from the vinyl surface.<\/span><\/p>\n
