Audio Physic presents the new Codex. For the first time, this award-winning loudspeaker is equipped with the revolutionary PowerTrain technology, including the new HHCM SL midrange driver. <\/span><\/p>\n

This allows the Codex to achieve unparalleled performance in its class in terms of resolution and spatial representation. The Codex’s elegant and minimalist design remains unchanged. <\/span><\/p>\n

Excellent music reproduction and living spaces are inherently at odds. Deep bass and a solid foundation require loudspeakers with a certain cabinet volume. The CODEX achieves this balancing act thanks to its intelligent cabinet design. Despite its size, the four-way loudspeaker exudes stylish elegance with its clean lines and slim baffle. Especially in the exquisite high-gloss glass finish, combined with light colors, the loudspeakers appear almost weightless. <\/span><\/p>\n

Particular attention was paid to the internal structure of the cabinet, as only an extremely stable enclosure provides the prerequisite for uncolored and detailed sound reproduction. Numerous braces and particularly rigid elements made of open-cell ceramic foam give the CODEX cabinet excellent stability without noticeably reducing its internal volume. The speaker’s sandwich construction with its permanently elastic core layer (bonded) perfectly dampens the cabinet’s vibrations. This effectively prevents any unwanted acoustic activity from within the cabinet. <\/span><\/p>\n

The CODEX’s woofer is located inside the speaker and operates in its own optimally tuned enclosure. The 27-centimeter long-throw driver is extremely powerful and effortlessly reproduces the lowest frequencies. From 100 Hertz upwards, it hands off to an 18-centimeter driver in the front of the cabinet. The advantage of this division of labor: the bass reproduction remains authoritative and controlled in every situation. Furthermore, the CODEX offers significantly more flexibility in terms of placement than conventionally designed speakers; it delivers a clear, well-defined, and powerful sound even when placed close to a wall. <\/span><\/p>\n

The clarity in the lower octaves lays the foundation for the exemplary neutral and precise reproduction of midrange and treble. This is achieved using the groundbreaking Hyper Holographic Cone tweeter (HHCT III), now in its third generation, and the new HHCM SL midrange driver. Thanks to its special surround design, it requires no spider, resulting in a significantly more aerodynamic setup behind the aluminum diaphragm, which in turn prevents compression effects. <\/span><\/p>\n

The innovative chassis design reduces the sonic influence of micro-vibrations to an absolute minimum, as the drivers have no direct contact with the speaker’s baffle. Stray vibrations, also known as partial vibrations, therefore cannot interfere with the sound reproduction. Furthermore, each driver has its own chamber within the CODEX cabinet. This eliminates any interaction via the air volume inside the speaker. For maximum signal fidelity, the crossover network is distributed across multiple levels, equipped with premium components, and positioned close to each driver. <\/span><\/p>\n

The CODEX also demonstrates attention to detail in its connection terminal. High-quality WBT nextgen\u2122 binding posts accept the speaker cables. The terminal is also mechanically decoupled from the speaker cabinet. The sum of all these details makes the CODEX a truly mature loudspeaker \u2013 true to the Audio Physic motto: <\/span><\/p>\n
