Our new Townus Sub 12 active subwoofer is perfectly matched to the look, acoustics and technology of the Townus models. It offers enormous depth and maximum bass dynamics. Thanks to its elegant housing, the bass bolide can be harmoniously integrated into a wide variety of living spaces. The active front-firing subwoofer shines with its high power amplifier output, which, in combination with the 308 mm titanium subwoofer chassis and the equally large down-firing passive cone, enables excellent bass performance. Its high-quality, extensive equipment and the elegant exterior make the Townus Sub 12 also attractive for other speaker series. The active woofer is available in white satin matt or black high-gloss finishes as well as walnut real wood veneer with a perfect surface finish.

Technology at its finest
The Townus Sub 12 active subwoofer from Canton works according to the bass reflex principle with a down-firing passive membrane. In order to guarantee precise mechanical performance, it is equipped with a generously dimensioned drive including the latest generation of wave beading technology. The wave surround, which has been folded several times, enables a significantly greater stroke and reduces sound distortions compared to conventional surrounds. For maximum precision and correct impulse processing of the low-frequency signals, we use a high-performance titanium woofer chassis and a stiff MDF passive membrane in the Townus Sub 12. The Townus Sub 12, weighing 21 kilograms, has a powerful 380 watt power amplifier with high and low level inputs and, despite its living space-friendly dimensions, ensures a bravura low-frequency performance. Its automatic switch-on and switch-off enables convenient everyday operation and thanks to the ability to adjust the volume, phase and crossover frequency, the Townus Sub 12 harmonises with all stereo and home cinema speakers.

Design
The modern designed and at the same time timelessly elegant speaker series Townus harmonizes with many furnishing styles thanks to the different available housing surfaces. Our Townus Sub 12 takes up the design of the Townus series and offers the ideal complement to the elegant speaker models – both visually and acoustically. Impeccably finished housings in white silky matt or black high-gloss finishes, as well as the variant in elegant walnut real wood veneer, underline the premium claim of the Townus Sub 12 active subwoofer direct view of the powerful 308 mm titanium chassis. The generously rounded “corners” of the panel give our Townus Sub 12 a modern and attractive face.
