The Niagara 1200 brings the benefits of optimized power management to many more music lovers, replacing the highly acclaimed Niagara 1000.
Aside from the 1200’s beautifully textured, glossy finish, the most notable differences between the Niagara 1000 and 1200 are the more versatile shape and surprisingly heavy weight. The 1200 can now stand on the shelf like a component with all input and output cables on the back. It can be placed on the “front” with the sockets facing up to allow it to be placed between the furniture and the wall. The 1200 can also stand upright.
Developed by Garth Powell, the Niagara 1200 shares the same design philosophy and patented technology as its larger siblings, the Niagara 5000 and Niagara 7000, but in a smaller, slimmer package—and at a fraction of the price.
Like the Niagara 5000 and 7000, the Niagara 1200 features ultra-low resistance, single-conductor wiring for low-noise directionality, capacitor-forming technologies that greatly improve linearity and minimize distortion, and low-impedance AC input and output contacts with heavy silver plating on high-purity beryllium Copper for superior noise dissipation. The Niagara 1200 also features our non-destructive surge protection, patented Ground Noise Dissipation, and Over Voltage Shutdown. With the Niagara 1200’s non-destructive surge protection, your system is fully protected from surges and spikes while the Niagara 1200 protects itself—no damage, no downtime. Set once and then just forget.
Featuring AudioQuest’s patented Ground Noise Dissipation System and Linear Noise Dissipation technology, the Niagara 1200 offers seven high-performance outputs in its slim, cabinet-friendly enclosure. The maximum A input current rating in the 1200 is 15 A RMS.A
