THE SOLUTION: The NRG-Y2 power cables utilize directional long crystalline copper (LGC) strands in a Semi-Solid Concentric conductor arrangement in which the strands are packed more densely and do not change position within the bundle. This design significantly reduces distortion caused by strand interaction. Further reduction of distortion is achieved by the greater purity and less complicated grain structure of LGC copper.
