While Toslink isn’t as commonly used to connect a DVD player to an A/V receiver thanks to HDMI, Toslink connections are common on cable boxes, televisions, subwoofers, and all sorts of other products. And now the miniature 3.5mm optical connector, incorrectly called mini-Toslink, can be found everywhere… from the dual 3.5mm headphone jack on a Mac laptop to the inputs of some of the best portable ones Devices.
