B&W 702 S3 Signature – perfection, perfected
The larger model in the new Signature Series is the 702 S3 Signature, a powerful three-way floorstanding speaker that builds on the specifications of the 702 S3, the flagship of the 700 Series. The heart of the design is the carbon dome tweeter, housed in a decoupled tweeter-on-top aluminum enclosure and complemented on this model by a new tweeter guard inherited from the 2023 800 Series Signature models were introduced. The Continuum™ Cone FST™ decoupled midrange driver, with its acclaimed biomimetic suspension that significantly reduces unwanted coloration behind the speaker, ensures clear, effortless visibility into the midrange and an open, spacious sound. The 702 S3 Signature also features three 165 mm (6.5″) Aerofoil Profile woofers that deliver full, powerful bass and feature an improved chassis suspension (or “spider”) that improves bass clarity.
Like all Signature models over the years, the 702 S3 Signature benefits from careful crossover upgrades to further increase transparency, with new and improved Mundorf capacitors, improved inductors and revised bypass capacitors. It also features new and improved speaker connections with high-quality brass cores that ensure a clean signal flow into the speaker.
Optimized performance
The 700 Series brings studio sound into your home. The 700 Series Signature perfects this exceptional philosophy: with our most advanced technologies, optimized by our experienced engineers, it delivers performance that is second to none.
Ultra-stable tweeter housing
The elongated shape and longer tube system of the latest generation of our ultra-stable tweeter-on-top housing ensure an even freer, more open sound in the high frequency range. The carefully decoupled housing was milled from a single solid aluminum block to even better counteract resonances.
Improved crossovers
Bowers & Wilkins engineers have optimized the crossovers to perfection to enable maximum speaker performance. The models feature optimized midrange and woofer driver systems, improved capacitors from Mundorf and revised speaker terminals – for even clearer and higher quality sound.
Carbon dome tweeter
The carbon dome tweeters were developed specifically for the 700 series and offer significant advantages over older generations of dome tweeters. Their breakup frequency is 47 kHz, which enables highly precise and detailed sound reproduction.
