Our loudspeaker series CD 200 convinces with its elegant design and its mature and powerful sound performance. This is made possible by the excellent technical equipment of the extremely flat speakers. Selected aluminum drivers are concealed behind finely structured speaker covers in the stable aluminum housing. The models are available in black or silver anodized aluminum housings and in the “high gloss” painted version in white. The flagship of the series, the floorstanding speaker CD 290.3, is suitable for any living environment despite its height of 105 centimetres. This is made possible by the elegant shape and the small width and depth of the floorstanding speaker, which stands securely on a heavy die-cast aluminum base.

Convincing through the best technical ingredients
Our 2 ½ floorstanding speaker CD 290.3 is just ten centimeters flat and 14 centimeters wide. And yet the developers manage the feat of accommodating five powerful loudspeaker chassis behind the acoustically transparent aluminum front panel. The elegant free-standing models are ideal for music and film lovers who prefer an unobtrusive integration of the loudspeakers in their living environment with excellent sound. Two aluminum woofers in the closed housing provide deep bass down to 40 Hertz. A pair of midrange specialists expand the sound spectrum with neutral and well-structured midranges. The quartet is rounded off in terms of sound by the fine-resolution tweeter with a 25 mm aluminum dome.

The CD 290.3 rests securely on the heavy die-cast aluminum base, in which the speaker cables can be routed unobtrusively to the gold-plated terminals on the backs of the speakers. Thanks to the powerful speaker chassis, the CD 290.3 can handle loads of up to 150 watts. And thanks to the high level of efficiency (87.5dB), the loudspeakers, which weigh around nine kilograms, are friendly to any amplifier. With our CD 220.3 compact loudspeakers and the CD 250.3 center speaker, the CD 290.3 can be expanded into an extremely elegant yet impressive-sounding home cinema system. The SUB 601 is ideal as a subwoofer. Incidentally, a perfect playing partner for the CD 200 series is our Smart Amp 5.1, which drives the elegant loudspeaker models to soaring heights.
