The technology: better than ever
Striving for the best sound means a lot of hard work and the use of the latest technologies. The optically and technically revised GLE loudspeakers benefit from the progress that we are constantly making in loudspeaker development. First and foremost, our outstanding titanium drivers should be mentioned here, which are allowed to move into the current GLE series. Our aluminium-manganese tweeter system with a 25 mm dome is well-engineered and tried and tested. In the GLE 20, it ensures the finest highs and an enormously detailed sound. The ideal playing partner is the powerful 154 mm bass-midrange driver with titanium membrane, which can reproduce deep tones powerfully and precisely in the optimally tuned bass reflex volume. Its light and yet extremely rigid membrane guarantees balanced and neutral mid-range reproduction with excellent detail resolution. The mid-bass drivers are equipped with stable polycarbonate baskets, powerful magnet drives and the latest generation of triple-folded wave surrounds, which means that the loudspeakers can play very dynamically with the slightest distortion. The GLE 20 compact loudspeaker plays up to 40,000 Hertz – thanks to its precisely calculated and optimally shaped waveguide with ideal sound radiation, even to the side of the loudspeaker.

Harmonious in the proportions and neutral and modern in design, the 2-way compact speakers GLE 20 can be used universally: free-standing on the matching LS 660 feet, on a rack or on a shelf. Depending on the version selected, the baffles are painted black or white. The body of the compact speaker is available in the versions “Black Vinyl”, “White Vinyl” and noble “Makassar”. The black or white, sound-neutral fabric covers hold magnetically on the baffles. The GLE 20, which is 29.5 centimeters high, 17 centimeters wide and 26 centimeters deep, weighs around 4.5 kilograms.
