The Power Sub 8 active subwoofer from Canton works according to the bass reflex principle with a down-firing passive membrane. In order to guarantee precise mechanical performance, it is equipped with a generously dimensioned drive including the latest generation of wave beading technology. The wave surround, which has been folded several times, enables a significantly greater stroke and reduces sound distortions compared to conventional surrounds. For maximum precision and correct impulse processing of the low-frequency signals, we use a 219 mm high-performance titanium woofer chassis and a passive membrane of the same size made of stable MDF in the Power Sub 8. The Power Sub 8 harmonises with all stereo and home cinema speakers thanks to the ability to adjust the volume, phase and crossover frequency. Its automatic switch-on and switch-off enables convenient and uncomplicated operation in everyday life. The sound-transparent fabric front covering adheres magnetically to the baffle, and its generously rounded “corners” give our Power Sub 8 an independent, attractive face.
