Gold Note PH 5.2 Maximum versatility, authentic sound
The PH-5.2 is a complete evolution and not just a simple update of the PH-5. It is the mature expression of Gold Note’s vision regarding analog technology: High fidelity is not a sonic characteristic, but a responsibility towards the original recording.
Thanks to the RCA inputs for connecting MM and MC cartridges, the selectable EQ curves (RIAA, Decca London and American Columbia, all with Enhanced option) as well as the gain and load control, it is suitable for any type of analog system and offers maximum versatility and flexibility.
The redesigned user interface makes adjusting load, gain and equalization clearer and more precise, and offers the possibility to save two pickups, one MM and one MC pickup, in the “Settings” menu.
In an analog system, the correct settings are not a mere operational detail, but an essential component of sound quality. The Linea 5.2 boasts a new, exclusive aesthetic characterized by elegant surfaces, attractive details, and high performance.
The new frame, made of black anodized, sandblasted aluminum and designed to minimize interaction with magnetic fields, creates a more stable electrical and mechanical environment, reduces background noise, and improves micro-details and the naturalness of the sound. The new, more powerful power supply delivers greater dynamic control, a clearer treble range, and a relaxed yet powerful sound that maintains its coherence even in complex passages.
The color touchscreen interface offers a clearer layout, quick settings and instant access to all functions, allowing you to intervene in real time without interrupting playback and thus enjoy a first-class user experience.
The interface is complemented by a completely analog core: The PH-5.2’s signal path consists of discrete audio components and was designed to reduce distances and minimize potential interference. High-quality relays switch the settings selected via the display without introducing any digital circuitry. True analog purity that preserves the integrity of the signal and extracts even the finest details from the record.
It has never been easier to faithfully recreate the original context of a recording. Applying the correct curve means respecting the balance, dynamics, and character of the vinyl record you are listening to and enjoying every minute detail.
As the direct successor to the PH-1000 and PH-10, the PH-5.2 shares their philosophy but is more compact and accessible. With the PH-5.2, you can select the most suitable equalization curve for each recording directly from the display: RIAA, Decca London, or American Columbia. Thanks to proprietary Gold Note technology, inspired by the studies of Georg Neumann, each curve is also available in an Enhanced version to extend the frequency response up to 50 kHz and, if desired, increase the dynamics, range, and realism of the listening experience.
