The SR225x has the same characteristics as the SR125x model, but has a 50% increase in airflow, which is achieved via an improved metal mask on the soundboards.

This achieves a further reduction in sound discolouration. Furthermore, the driver chassis are selected closer to each other (only 0.05dB deviation), which results in an improvement in spatial imaging.

The SR225x and SR125x have had a sibling rivalry for decades. Being the mature model, the SR225x utilizes the new F-cushion to open up the sound to more textured tones. The driver works in unison to produce a unique sound reproduction and is just as fast as the SR125x. Just don’t tell her little brother.
