The development of the EVO3 Premier was inspired by discussions with high-end electronics manufacturers. Their products, which often cost several thousand Euros, are usually delivered with cheap power cords, which clearly impair the sound quality. The EVO3 Premier is made exclusively of uncompromisingly high-quality materials that are otherwise only used in much more expensive cables and therefore offers an excellent price-performance ratio.
CONSTRUCTION: The conductors run parallel and are slightly twisted. This established technique has proven to be an effective shield against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference.
A) Conductors: Silver plated 99.9999% oxygen free and high purity copper conductors provide excellent conductivity. They are less prone (compared to solid core cables) to becoming brittle or cracked over time. Silver is an excellent conductor and offers impressive electrical properties when combined with high-purity copper.
B) Dielectric: A Teflon FEP (perfluoroethylene propylene) dielectric is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. FEP has very high stress crack resistance and a low coefficient of friction, making it an ideal material for dielectrics due to both its heat resistance and good electrical insulation.
C) Insert: A cotton insert gives the cable more internal stability and reduces microphonics effects. In addition, cotton has excellent dielectric properties.
D) Sheath: A paper sheath separates the inner conductors from the flexible PVC sheath. The combination of paper, cotton and PVC again improves the dielectric properties.
E) Jacket: With an outer jacket made of PVC, the cable is not only particularly flexible, but also mechanically resilient.
CONNECTORS: The Premier cable is assembled with IsoTek’s audiophile-grade connectors made of 24-carat gold-plated 90% copper and 10% zinc.
