ISOTEK EVO3 Optimum power cable (SCHUKO) C15 or C19 – For all high-end audio components such as CD players, DACs, preamplifiers, tuners, Blu-ray players, music servers, amplifiers and much more
Standard length: 2m
The IsoTek EVO3 Optimum is an extremely elaborately designed, excellent power cable. The three parallel and slightly twisted conductors each consist of 3.0 mm² square and silver-plated OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper strands. OCC is an extremely pure material that offers exceptional electrical conductivity, very good flexibility, and protection against fatigue and corrosion.
A Teflon FEP dielectric guarantees very even insulation over a wide frequency range. The slight twisting of the conductors, together with the surrounding Mylar foil and a grounded OFC braid, enables highly effective shielding against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference. A cotton insert provides more stability and reduces microphonic effects. An outer jacket made of PVC guarantees the best flexibility and stability.
CONSTRUCTION: The conductors run parallel and are slightly twisted. This established technique has proven to be an effective shield against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference.
A) Conductors: 3.0mm² silver plated Ohno extruded copper conductors offer a far higher level of purity compared to conventional OFC. Each ladder strand has an innovative square configuration. The geometry and metallurgy used in this construction offers excellent performance with extremely impressive electrical conductivity.
B) Dielectric: The Teflon FEP dielectric (insulation) is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. FEP has a very high resistance to stress cracking and a low coefficient of friction, making it an exceptional dielectric. FEP is the number one choice for safety in both temperature and electrical insulation.
C) Reinforcement: Cotton filler has been used to give the cable internal strength and reduce microphonics. Cotton also has excellent dielectric properties, the best of any solid material.
D) Cover: A Mylar cover is used to secure the structure and provide a protective shield before a flexible PVC jacket is applied. The addition of mylar and cotton provides a buffer with the PVC to maintain exceptional dielectric properties.
E) Shield: A grounded OFC shield ensures maximum RFI rejection, preventing common mode interference affecting the live and neutral conductors.
F) Jacket: PVC is used as outer jacket to ensure high level of flexibility and mechanical strength.
PLUG: The Optimum cable is terminated with IsoTek’s audiophile-grade 99.98% copper 24k gold-plated connectors.
