The LUMIN X2 marks the introduction of our newly developed discrete digital-to-analog converter after years of intensive development work.
This fully discrete architecture represents a crucial step in the digital evolution of LUMIN.
By using individually selected components, each part of the conversion process can be specifically optimized – from the circuit topology and power supply to the clocking and signal integrity.
Perfectly matched to our streaming engine, this stable foundation forms the basis for the next chapter of our flagship series.

A new milestone for LUMIN. This specially developed digital-to-analog converter forms the heart of a completely redesigned system. Circuit design, power management, and clock control have been meticulously optimized for coherence and precision to achieve maximum accuracy in network audio playback.
- Controlled signal path
Each stage of the converter was designed from the ground up. Component layout and conductor routing are designed for minimal susceptibility to interference and optimal channel separation. - Low-noise operation
Special circuits and precise energy management reduce electrical interference fields and create a particularly stable operating environment. - Minimized time errors
The discrete architecture allows direct use of clock and conversion stages without intermediate dividers. The result: more precise timing and significantly reduced jitter.
The LUMIN X2 is the first flagship model with our fastest processor. This architecture, first introduced in 2022, provides the foundation for future developments. Increased processing power and memory enable greater resampling flexibility, improved audio processing, and high future-proofing. Upsampling and downsampling are possible up to DSD256.
