At just 65mm deep, the 225 is the perfect complement to today’s ultra-thin displays. Use it as a center channel or main speaker: its acoustic design of dual 4″ C-CAM woofers/midrange drivers mounted astride a 1″ C-CAM tweeter delivers outstanding accuracy of horizontal and vertical positions.

4″ C-CAM woofer
All of the new Radius woofers feature concave cone profiles introduced with our flagship Platinum loudspeakers and then applied to the Gold GX. Extensive research and FEA modeling has allowed us to perfect the relationship between the new radiating diaphragm and motor design, introducing larger motors and voice coils for increased excursion, higher efficiency and reduced distortion.

C-CAM Gold tweeter
optimized to enable the finest and widest performance in the compact Radius enclosures. It benefits from a more efficient rear ventilation design that releases the air trapped and compressed at the rear of the tweeter dome and directs it around the drive unit to the rear loading chamber.

HiVe II port design
Straight from the Platinum design concept, the HiVe reflex port makes its debut here at Radius. It is shaped to have the same effect on airflow as a gun barrel does on a bullet. Corrugation within the port helps accelerate flow and reduce turbulence, allowing air to flow in and out of the port more efficiently, resulting in faster, more dynamic bass response.

The driver attachment
with a through-bolt provides mechanical decoupling and improved midrange clarity and resolution. The thru-bolt also acts as a rigid cross brace to provide a very solid, non-resonant enclosure.
