The Persona Series is designed, engineered and built entirely in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility outside of Toronto, Canada. It’s made by people who love great audio (just like you). From the handpicked, purpose-built components and materials to the precision craftsmanship of the non-resonant enclosures with their beautiful, premium quality finishes, Persona loudspeakers are handcrafted for performance.

Sure, we could say “Made in Canada” or “Produced in Canada”. However, we believe that building speakers is an art. Everyone at Paradigm shares a passion for crafting loudspeakers, and out of that intense passion Crafted in Canada was proudly born.

Can luxury be a value? We believe it. One of the keys to Persona’s luxury value is our use of beryllium. Beryllium is the absolute best Membrane material, and Persona drivers feature ^Truextent® Pure Beryllium foils, which are specially formulated to be exponentially stiffer and significantly lighter than other premium membrane materials. They offer superior transient response, near-transparent performance, and negligible audible coloration. Plus, it’s a material typically only found in much more expensive speakers. Luxurious? Yes. But also a surprising performance value in Persona.

Beryllium is a rare chemical element (Be) with low mass, high tensile strength, and high thermal stability. It’s incredibly stiff and light; everything a sound engineer would want in a speaker cone.

In fact, beryllium has been used in the audio industry since the 1970s. However, it has retained a certain cult status due to its use only in the best (and most expensive) audio equipment.

The precise control of the Truextent manufacturing process results in a pure beryllium foil with a very uniform grain structure; This is many times stiffer and yet far less dense than conventional cone materials. In industry testing, our beryllium cone material shows significant improvements in durability, speed and reduced interference. It can add more than an octave of distortion-free playback.

In Paradigm’s Persona Series, tandem-matched beryllium drivers reveal the full spectrum of high performance. Persona is the only speaker in its class to use beryllium for the midrange and tweeter.

Each model in the Persona Series is equipped with two Truextent Beryllium driver systems, and each model achieves truly unexpected levels of detail, depth and dynamics thanks to rare, exceptional beryllium.
