Q Acoustics Concept 50 – floorstanding speakers redefined
Like its smaller sister model Concept 20, which has already received several awards from the specialist media, the Concept 50 also impresses with an exceptionally diverse, dynamic and musical sound. Thanks to the innovative box-in-the-box housing with the unique GelcoreTM filling, which eliminates housing resonance, the two 125 mm mid-bass drivers and the 25 mm dome tweeter find optimal working conditions.
.
Extremely low case resonances: The Concept 50 features a case with a GelcoreTM construction, in which two layers of MDF boards are separated from each other by a special, resonance-absorbing adhesive layer that converts kinetic energy into heat. This structure reduces vibrations and thus distortions to a minimum and allows the loudspeaker chassis to emit only the pure, unadulterated audio signal.
.
Easy to drive, easy to set up: With a sensitivity of 90 dB and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, the Concept 40 can be used with any high-quality amplifier, including heavy peaks or louder passages in music or film soundtracks. Setting it up in the room doesn’t cause any problems either: a foam plug is included in the scope of delivery, which can be inserted into the bass reflex opening on the back of the housing if required to reduce the bass level in a position close to a wall or in the corner of the room.
.
A treat for the eyes and ears: the elegant floor-standing speaker is available in high-gloss black or high-gloss white housing. Even the attractive aluminum front isn’t just for decoration: it’s part of a construction that presses a layer of butyl rubber onto the front wall to further reduce cabinet resonance. And the elegant tripod base ensures a secure footing and, thanks to the integrated spikes, effective acoustic decoupling from the floor.
