REGA APHETA 3 MC

For 15 years now, Rega has continued to refine its line of high-quality MC cartridges.

We have paved the way for the technology of weakly damped generators of minimal mass with high-strength one-piece housings. Recently, a new level of performance has been achieved through the use of rare metal magnets. All development and advanced manufacturing technology have been brought together in the successful Apheta 2 scanner.

The Apheta 3 once again addresses a technological limit.

For several years we have been further optimizing the “Fine Line” needle grind, as is also used in the top model Aphelion, and the special assembly with an installation angle of 90 degrees now allows even more precise reproduction of details and higher musical resolution when scanning records.
The Apheta 3 system has an extremely powerful neodymium magnet and a carefully hand-wound coil on an iron support that is only half the size of the previous model. The associated weight saving leads directly to better scanning ability.
This generator system sits in a completely newly designed one-piece anodized aluminum support and is protected against damage with a computer-designed semi-transparent cover.
This pickup is an ideal addition to the new Rega Planar 8 and Planar 10 models.
It is available pre-assembled on these at a reasonable combination price.
