LAPC
LAPC is an original Technics technology that works adaptively in conjunction with speaker load. It measures the amplifier’s phase characteristics over the entire frequency range with connected loudspeakers and uses the latest digital signal processing technologies to achieve an ideal impulse response. Typical parameters are already pre-stored in the LAPC circuit in order to achieve ideal frequency and phase characteristics over the entire frequency range.

Space TuneTM adapts the sound processing to the listening environment so that the SC-C50 speaker can optimally deliver its excellent sound quality in every room and in every listening position. In addition to the three preset room adjustment modes (free, close to a wall, close to a corner), a microphone built into the housing enables sound optimization via a so-called “Auto” function. In addition, an iOS device can be used to measure the actual frequency response with even greater precision and adapt it to the room situation. This allows you maximum sound quality regardless of the existing room situation and placement.

Control AppElegant and timeless design
Form and functionality have entered into a particularly successful alliance with the SC-C50. The solid aluminum housing cover increases the housing rigidity and contains a ring-shaped control panel with a modern OLED display, which makes operation a pure pleasure. The rib design on the back exudes elegance while also serving to dissipate heat for the circuitry inside. The shapely curves of the front and back serve to eliminate unwanted housing vibrations and elegantly accommodate the loudspeaker chassis, which radiate the sound over a wide area. This allows you to place the SC-C50 flexibly without sacrificing spacious sound reproduction. Black and white are available as color variants.Compact housing with spacious imaging
The arched housing has three mid-range drivers, three tweeters and a subwoofer. The arrangement of one mid/high unit on the left, one on the right and one in the center of the housing ensures full stereo imaging and crystal-clear voice reproduction. Horn designs with so-called “controlled directivity” avoid mutual speaker interference. The coaxial arrangement of the midrange and tweeter ensures vertical sound radiation with less diffraction effects from the compact cabinet.Solid cabinet structure for undistorted power
Three 16 mm tweeters ensure high-resolution high-frequency reproduction up to 50 kHz. The bass range is processed by a 12 cm long-throw woofer as a subwoofer in conjunction with an elongated bass reflex channel with a large diameter. A total of seven driver units, built into a rigid glass fiber housing, together with a 3.1-channel amplifier, ensure a powerful sound. Dual switched-mode power supply
Normal power supplies use a single transformer to power the amplifier and digital circuitry. When load fluctuations or noise occur in one of these circuits, other circuits are affected, which adversely affects sound quality. The power supply system in the SC-C50 is based on independent switching power supply sections, which supply the amplifier and the other circuits separately, thus avoiding mutual interference. This means that disturbances caused by noise or load fluctuations remain outside. A sophisticated layout with the shortest signal paths also contributes to minimizing noise.

Integrated Chromecast
The Chromecast feature supports a wide variety of music streaming services, allowing for easy transmission via smartphone app. Since the data is streamed directly to the main unit, there is no negative impact on the sound quality. The user can choose from a very extensive range of music genres.

Connection with Google Assistant
When a Google Voice-enabled speaker is on the same network, the Google Assistant can be used to trigger music playing or other functions on the SC-C50 speaker. If you don’t have a smartphone or don’t have a free hand, you can easily control the music with voice commands.
