Audio Physic Classic 15

With their choice of real wood or high-gloss glass surfaces, the speakers appear both elegant and timeless. The high-gloss glass versions feature a glass-MDF sandwich construction. The real wood cherry and walnut versions consist of an MDF cabinet coated with high-quality real wood veneer. Their high-gloss glass fronts give the speakers an elegant and timeless look.

The multi-layered construction is very torsionally rigid and prevents partial vibrations that reduce sound quality. Thanks to its smart design, the CLASSIC 15 effortlessly reproduces deep bass and creates the authenticity that makes music an emotional experience.

The bass reflex port of the two-and-a-half-way system is located above the solid base and radiates downwards, ensuring even coupling to the room. Installation is therefore straightforward. The CLASSIC 15 is free of the airflow noise often associated with traditional reflex ports, as an extremely rigid, fine-pored ceramic foam plate forms the actual reflex opening.

The CLASSIC 15 demonstrates its technological maturity with its chassis technology. For the first time, Audio Physic’s unique double-basket design is used in the Classic series. This groundbreaking design drastically reduces the mechanical transmission of micro-vibrations between the chassis and the cabinet.

Both the woofer and the mid-woofer are equipped with fiberglass cones. The surround, motor, and voice coil are optimized for their respective frequency ranges to achieve clear, faithful reproduction. The midrange driver features a fixed phase plug, which improves ventilation of the moving system. The crucial midrange benefits enormously from these technical refinements, as this is precisely where our hearing is most sensitive and immediately detects any coloration. The CLASSIC 15, on the other hand, reproduces timbres and voices with a naturalness and captivating quality previously only found in higher price ranges.

The tweeter’s vibration system in the CLASSIC 15 is also elaborately ventilated, ensuring that the fabric dome, manufactured by a specialist German company, always operates under ideal conditions, even under heavy loads. Thanks to its powerful drive and low resonance, the tweeter achieves exemplary signal fidelity far beyond the limits of human hearing. A small, horn-shaped waveguide surrounds the actual dome, ensuring a seamless transition between midrange and treble. This allows for relaxed music enjoyment even outside the so-called sweet spot.

Of course, the CLASSIC 15 can also be optionally equipped with the VCF II Magnetic Plus M8 feet. These guarantee perfect decoupling from the floor, further improve the sound experience and protect sensitive surfaces.
