Audio Physic Classic Center

The CLASSIC 15 served as the model – the Classic Center adopts the high-quality driver configuration, crossover design, and overall technical layout of this full-size floorstanding speaker. This ensures that the CLASSIC CENTER achieves perfect acoustic synergy with all speakers in the Classic series when used in multi-channel setups.

As you would expect from Audio Physic, the build quality of the CLASSIC CENTER is beyond reproach. The elaborate glass sandwich cabinet is manufactured with the same meticulous care as all our loudspeakers.

As a 2.5-way system, the mid-woofer receives bass support from the second driver, enabling the CLASSIC CENTER to deliver a deep bass foundation with low distortion. Both drivers utilize diaphragms made of a woven fiberglass material, which, despite its light weight, offers high internal damping, effectively suppressing unwanted vibrations even at high volume levels. The fixed phase plug of the mid-woofer further reduces compression effects and contributes to cooling the magnet assembly.

Between the two chassis sits the tweeter with a 22-millimeter fabric dome, which, thanks to a powerful drive, masters even large dynamic shifts and extends its reproduction beyond 30 kHz. The CLASSIC CENTER thus offers ideal prerequisites for delivering finely differentiated, clear, and exemplary neutral reproduction in a surround sound system – at any volume.

The CLASSIC CENTER is designed as a bass-reflex system, but instead of a classic bass-reflex port, the sandwich construction of the side walls is used for sound guidance. This unique Audio Physic technology avoids the inherent disadvantages of a bass-reflex port and allows significantly less unwanted sound to escape.

With Audio Physic loudspeakers, compromises on quality are never an option, which is why even the CLASSIC CENTER features high-quality WBT binding posts from the nextgen® series. These are insensitive to mass storage and eddy current effects, and when using spade connectors, a clever torque indicator reliably shows when the ideal contact pressure for a permanently perfect connection has been reached.

Our CLASSIC CENTER can be combined in many different ways with all loudspeakers of the Classic series to create a multi-channel set that is perfectly matched both visually and acoustically.
