Ortofon 2M Red Moving Magnet Cartridge System

With the 2M Red, you’ll hear the music come alive in its own unique way. It’s like stepping into the music itself. This is our entry-level cartridge in the 2M series, but wow, what an entry!

The 2M series is based on our philosophy of sonic accuracy. All our knowledge, experience, technology, and innovation have been poured into creating a series that lets you hear the music the way the artist intended. We strive for perfection in every part of every cartridge, and if technology can’t deliver the desired quality, we invent something that can. To ensure the highest quality of our products, we keep everything close together. All our cartridges are designed and manufactured right here in Denmark.

The 2M series was developed in collaboration with the Danish industrial designers at Møller Jensen Design. Inspired by the facets of a diamond, whose contours elegantly trace the grooves on the surface of a record, the appealing elegance of the 2M embodies a superb combination of form and function.
