The new Dovedale is a further example of Wharfedale’s legacy of loudspeaker design and manufacturing. It combines expert craftsmanship, natural sound quality, and affordability in a beautifully proportioned loudspeaker, which has been sold in its various incarnations by the millions worldwide. The Dovedale bears a distinct family resemblance. It’s a three-way floorstanding model—a rarity these days—that shares similar proportions with the classic Dovedale models of yesteryear. Its wood-veneered cabinet has a vintage look, yet the finish is distinctly contemporary—a tribute to the craftsmanship required to create such a loudspeaker.

The original Dovedale models—dating back to the W2 of 1959, which evolved into the W2/Dovedale in 1965—were known for their rich and natural sound quality. The new model retains these attributes but improves performance across the board, with free-breathing dynamics and incredible definition in the bass and midrange.

Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Wharfedale brand, the Wharfedale Dovedale is more than just a reintroduction of a classic model. It’s a speaker that exudes authenticity and is designed to appeal to the passionate music lover.
